Maven compilation error: how to view details

When I ran the maven project with mvn -X clean package

, it encountered a compilation error:

However, there are no details about where the compilation error occurred. How can I know what went wrong?

I fixed this issue by commenting out the compilerVersion tag from the maven-compiler-plugin config. There seems to be a conflict in the version I am using with Hibernate.
