How many max nodes can I use when configuring an etcd cluster

I am trying to set up coreos etc. for the data center. How many max nodes can you configure for a cluster?

I add more nodes can help improve performance or not?

I have not found the figure from the official site. He only mentions that 9 is ok.

As far as I know I have the ability to run a small kernel cluster (3-5 nodes) and listen from the coreos command itself, up to 9 won't have latency issues, maybe 10 if you're lucky, but after that the cluster has problems delayed, saving, etc. consistent on every node of the cluster, so 9 should be the maximum if you want to play safely.
