Weblinks in Mono for Android

I am developing android app in xamarin-studio. In an application, I want to make a soap request for a web service that I have created as described here .

The problem is that I am getting an exception with the following message on every request:

"Content-Type is not supported in response: 'text / html; encoding = UTF-8' Response error message: -" + valid xml-response

I don't understand this because if I test these methods with soapUI I get a valid xml.

I've also tried it with WCF in Visual Studio, but it doesn't work either. Why does .NET interpret XML-Response as HTML?

Can you post your webservice consumption code. I am assuming that you have used a service such as a REST service using HTTPWebRequest to download the response. if so. try this Project-> Add-> Webreference.
