Wordpress themes not creating correct home page in server folder

I am using a wordpress theme which I modified a bit based on the "Revera" wordpress theme.

I've used it on other sites and it's well articulated. However, I have always installed it at the root of the domain. This time I installed it at http://www.gas-sense.co.uk/blog It does not generate the usual homepage layout (see http://www.georgeedwards.co )

Just wondering if the themes are customizable to launch the homepage layout? and if it is defined in a specific php section?
