Can't see my EC2 instances in the management console?

I am getting started with AWS and servers in general

I logged into AWS on laptop 1 and created an EC2 instance. The next day I logged into the AWS console on laptop 2, then the instance disappeared. So I created another EC2 instance for the game. Then, logging into the console with the third laptop 3 the next day, I found my first copy, but not the second ...

The second instance is still running as I can access the IP address.

Any idea why this is happening? This is really confusing and annoying.

Thank!

Ok I found the answer.

For some reason I ended up creating multiple accounts under the same email address (don't ask). I didn't understand that it was possible.

Hope it helps anyway

The most likely explanation is that you accidentally included the region. Look in the upper right corner of the interface to the right of your username. Make sure you are in the region you expect.

EC2 instances can be hosted in any of the regions, but you will only see EC2 instances for the region you are currently viewing.

Same with me, aparenty me (or AWS) changed my region to N Virginia tracking my instances of IPs hidden in Oregon and voilรก

There is a search box just above the list of instances. A search parameter was found for the first instance I created. After its removal, other instances appeared.
