The default leaderboard is missing from the app (iTunesConnect bug)

I am trying to update my game from 1.0 to 1.1 but I am getting this error:

"The app is missing a default leaderboard (iTunesConnect bug)"

I also can't save anything when I try to get this error:

Error making changes. Please try again later or contact App Store Support.

I already contacted Apple Support, but they didn't know what it was. they research, but it takes a very long time.

Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Yi Yuans Answer is correct, un. I have to noob to promote it. Exactly what Apple recommended to me in the same situation by pointing out the Game Center setup guide. I thought they were crazy as I used to set the default lead position and couldn't do any other change of configuration change. But I tried it anyway and it fixed the problem:



  • Go to the MyApps page (overview page).
  • Click the three dots / elliptical symbols next to the Add Application (+) symbol.
  • Click Game Center Groups.
  • Select the appropriate group.
  • Click the empty space under the "Default Leaderboard".
  • Choose the default leaderboard.
  • Click Finish.

I got the same error, now everything is fine, step by step: 1, iTunes Connect -> my app -> App error -> Click Game Center 2, default leaderboard, click Blank space, see screenshot.

We have the same problem when trying to update the app description. We have Achievements for this app, but did not intentionally create a leaderboard for it. We now get the same error as skipping the default leaderboard. I sent information to Apple awaiting a response.

I have been getting this error for several days. Is there an official solution? What are the implications of moving leader groups into a group?
