JS Code not working trying to make demo in css lessons

but there is a demo that uses JS and CSS. I am trying to fix this for about 3-4 hours.

(FYI after 2 hours of fighting I found half the solution. I'm using Safari and should, but -webkit-transform

). Now I tried css added directly to the element and it worked but it didn't work using JS.

I downloaded jquery-1.11.3.js

and imported it.

The lesson I'm watching (ON 3:45:55)

And when I click

did nothing. WHY!?

login.html

Instead of using JQuery, you can do it with CSS using :active

#demoButton:active {
    transform: scale(0.2, 0.2);
    -webkit-transform: scale(0.2, 0.2);
}
