.NET reflector plugin for visual studio not working

I just downloaded the .NET reflector plugin for VS (using RC 2015) and it just doesn't work. I'm not sure if I should be doing anything, but all menu options are grayed out and the Microsoft.Owin assembly code you see in the background is not decompiled. Plugin version - 8.5.0.179 (latest).

What's the deal with this plugin should I do something?

I had the same problem and it turned out that my license did not cover the installed version of .NET Reflector. I discovered while trying to activate the tool. From the top menu select .NET Reflector-> Help-> Enter Serial Number. Enter the license number and click "Activate". Only then was I told that my license was invalid. I had to log into Red-Gate and download the latest version supported by my license.
