Strange font issue in ionic app

I created an ionic app with an ionic side menu template.

I'm having a strange problem with fonts. I used the roboto font, linking it to google fonts.

The problems I am facing are -

PROFILE is sometimes displayed as PRO LE (some letters are missing)
PROFILE is sometimes displayed as OQNEHKD (one ascii down).

These issues occur before compiling the application, this will be fixed when the browser is refreshed or resized.

Is this problem related to ionic? How to solve this problem?
