Localstorage is automatically cleared in ios 8.1

Question

The items stored in the localStorage of my phone call app are deleted once. The problem occurs in iOS 8.1.

Is there an expiration date for localStorage? Will iOS remove local app storage automatically?

This happens several times a day for the last 1 week.

Any quick help would be much appreciated.

When iOS gets less storage space, it will "clean up" your app and delete everything in localStorage
