CSS / Media Requests

I used the Mailchimp 1-column template to create an email invitation.

However, when I export the HTML, render it with the Inliner tool with Mailchimp CSS and send a test contribution to my email address.

Looks fine in Outlook, but it doesn't display correctly in the Gmail app. I understand that in the Gmail app, it doesn't support media queries.

May I know what other ways to make my template more mobile-friendly than customizing media queries?

Use percentage measurements for layout components. This way, you can create a website that works on a much wider range of screen sizes. You can combine this approach with media queries - for example, you can specify that your site has a 25% wide navigation menu and 75% content area on devices larger than 400px but smaller than that and collapses to one column with the menu hidden and accessible only through the menu bar icon.
