Github issue for windows and custom shell

I am having problems installing my custom wrapper on Github for windows on Console2.
It seems that no matter what I try, it wants to ignore my settings and just run in PowerShell.

On Github for Windows, I have a path for my custom shell where Console2 is installed, and a checkmark next to Custom. (double and triple checked this for common sense)

I've tried restarting my computer several times and even changing the setting to other options (like cmd and Git Bash).

In all three cases, running gitshell still starts Powershell. I tried searching here and google but couldn't find anyone who had a similar problem. Is there somewhere (i.e. Registry or db file) where I can check how to set these values and try to override it? Or, if anyone else has this problem and has a solution, I'd really appreciate it!

I have the same problem. As a workaround, selecting "Open in Git Shell" in the client GUI transfers menu opens Git Bash (my shell of choice) in the repo I'm in, but this only allows one terminal window and is not a true solution.

I am guessing that the bug was introduced in one of the latest Windows client updates. I'll tell them about it at https://github.com/contact and I suggest others to do the same if they also have this problem.
