Is guice 4.0 backward compatible with 3.x?

Is guice 4.0 backwards compatible with 3.x? Can't figure it out from the release notes or FAQ ...

If not, is there a list of compatibility issues somewhere?

I don't have an official source, but in my experience there is no compatibility issue.

I am using several guice functions (bindings, provider, scopes ...) and some extensions (assisted injection, multi-lens, custom scopes).

I upgraded from guice 3.0 to guice 4.0-beta4 (then 4.0-beta5, 4.0) without any problem. My initial motivation is to support the new java-8 version.
