Parse.com push notifications VS. Google Cloud for iOS?

I am using Parse Data Core and plan to use Parse Push Alerts for iOS, however Google just announced cloud messaging for iOS @ I / O 2015. I am a newbie and a little unclear, so thought I'd ask. which pro and con are using one service over another? My thought is that since the parser counts every push message as a request, GCM might be better off since it's free with no limit. I think I can run GCM in cloud Parse code. Parse notifications also have a large allowable quota under the free tier, but not sure if it offers additional ease of use over GCM. Also not sure if google requires an iOS device for the associated google account on the device to receive the notification. thanks in advance
