Merge connection refused when connecting to Jira
First, I have Jira installed on a box and I install Confluence in the same box. During the installation of Confluence, after installing it, I try to connect to Jira to pull my user groups. In the url for jira I put in http://jira-qa.mycompany.com
and I get the following error.
Connection refused. Check if an instance of JIRA 4.3 or later is running on the given url.
I am confused because these two instances live in the same window and are in the same lifecycle: QA. Has anyone experienced this before?

Have you configured JIRA to allow your Confluence instance to connect to it?
Have you followed the steps in the Allow other applications to connect to JIRA to manage users documentation ?
