Mbtiles: Can some lines be drawn on mbtiles offline map?

I have a .mbtiles file and I am using it for an offline map (iOS MapBox SDK). But my .mbtiles doesn't have enough data (just a green green rectangle). I want to draw some lines (roads) between points (I load it from my rest API). I found a solution to use RMShape

, but I want to use an already drawn map. I am building my .mbtiles from osm and TileMill. Help me please.
