Why does RDP fail after simply creating a Windows VM on Azure?

I created an Azure account (with MSDN Professional subscription) and created a G1 VM with Windows 10 Preview with Visual Studio 2015. However, the RDP connection says "your credentials are not working".

I have attached a series of screenshots of the exact process I followed by creating an identical second virtual machine (with a different name, but everything else is identical):

Azure 1

Azure 2

Azure 3

Azure 4

Azure 5

Azure 6

Azure 7

Azure 8

Azure 9

Azure 10

Azure 11

<T411>

Azure 13

Azure 14

Azure 15

Azure 16

I've seen stackoverflow on StackOverflow question and answers - my password is 8 characters and it contains at least one uppercase letter, at least one lowercase letter, at least at least one number and at least one special character without spaces, so it must be acceptable; my username is only 10 characters with no special characters, so it should be acceptable.

What do I need to do to connect to my Azure Windows 10 VM after I just create it using the management console? Why is RDP not working?

Note. I have disabled firewall (Norton Antivirus) on my local machine, the one on which I run RDP.

As with I19, it was a domain name. You can take a look using Remote Desktop Connection Manager if you are managing multiple virtual machines like me.

As miparnisari said, you must put a period and a slash in front of the username:

.\Username
