How to use macros in qlik view

I just started with qlik view macros, just wanted to ask if there is any library or API file need to be installed / added to use macros.

Nothing needs to be installed to use macros. Just copy your macro in the module editor (Ctrl-m).



Please note that there are restrictions on the use of macros in a server environment (see Operating Guide Macros on QlikView Server). I also recommend that you execute the function before creating the macro, check if the QlikView Actions function is provided. Actions are written in their own code and tend to perform better and are more stable.
