R-list RStudio Viewer blank (gray) card [Windows 7]
Using flyer in RStudio creates blank maps in the viewer. Only markers can be seen. The console does not display a warning or error message. When I use shiny it is the same in RStudio viewer, but the map can be seen in the FireFox browser listening to the shiny server.
devtools::install_github("rstudio/leaflet");library(leaflet)
m <- leaflet() %>%
addTiles() %>% # Add default OpenStreetMap map tiles
addMarkers(lng = 174.768, lat = -36.852,
popup = "The birthplace of R")
m # Print the map

For the first example (non-shiny), try using addProviderTiles
instead addTiles
.
m <- leaflet() %>%
addProviderTiles(providers$OpenStreetMap) %>%
addMarkers(lng = 174.768, lat = -36.852,
popup = "The birthplace of R")
m # Print the map
The same substitution addProviderTiles
might fix the issue in RStudio viewer as well, or you might consider running Shiny directly in Firefox as described here as a work around.
