Item Templates in Microsoft Visual Studio for C ++

I tried seven times to create an item template following the exact instructions on the Microsoft website, but I was able to get it to work. After exporting my template, it doesn't appear when I try to create a new CPP or Header file. Why is this?

Here ( http://imgur.com/a/r6Nku ) is the image gallery of my EXACT steps. We apologize if this is not the right board for such a question, but MVS support is downright useless.

Edit: Not sure why adding "visual studio" tags is prohibited for users with less than 1500 reputation. Perhaps the mod can tag it correctly.
