How to disable chat users in ejabberd

Question

We have ejabberd installed on our Ubuntu server and we want all offline users in the room to send push notifications.

How can we get them from the database?

What would be the configuration for this?

As defined in XEP-0045 MultiUser Chat, the chat room in XMPP is presence-based. I mean it joins the room you send the room attendance package to . When you disconnect, the server will send an unavailable presence to the room for you to leave . You can also send unavailable presence to leave it "manually" but still stay connected.

This means that by definition there are no offline users in the XMPP chat room.
