Hyper Link that opens .OFT in Outlook

I have Outlook.oft template files uploaded to a web server.

Can I link to individual files that will cause them to open in Outlook?

I have so far managed to create straight HTML links that just upload them to a folder.

Is it possible to create a link that links the .oft file to Outlook and therefore executes it and opens it as a ready-to-send email.

I'm not sure if I understand the problem - if Outlook is installed, it associates .OFT files with itself. If the link points to an OFT file, opening the file will launch Outlook.



If you want to bypass the "Save / Open" prompt in the browser, I don't think there is a way to do it.

When you click on the link and it shows the download, right click and say always open that file type, then click to open. After that, every time someone clicks on the link, it just opens.
