Is there a way to increase the BTLE max block size to write the value, i.e. CBCentral maximumUpdateValueLength?

I am trying to send 2k data from my iPhone configured as BTLE peripheral to iPad. Right now, the chunk size dictated by CBCental :: maximumUpdateValueLength is only 74, which means it takes ~ 1s to transfer the payload. I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to increase this value (indirectly I suppose)? Maybe some configuration somewhere tells the iPhone this to use more power for BTLE?
