Opencv works with python2.7 but not python3.5.2

i has opencv installed as follows for both python2 and python3. However, it only works with python2. when i try to use python2 : import cv2

it works but not with python 3. here is the script of the commands

cmake -DWITH_QT=ON -DWITH_OPENGL=ON -DFORCE_VTK=ON -DWITH_TBB=ON -DWITH_GDAL=ON -DWITH_XINE=ON -DBUILD_EXAMPLES=ON ..
make -j4
sudo make install
sudo ldconfig

      

What's wrong with python3
