How to pass jdbc paramater using springboot and hibernate?

I have an application written with spring-boot (I'm new to this, so please forgive me if the question is dumb) that uses hibernate 4 and postgresql as the db database. I noticed a lot of links in the database that are related to the connection pool: "SET extra_float_digits = 3"

Incorporating on google, I found this is probably due to using the old protocol and can be avoided by using the acceptMinServerVersion parameter of the jdbc driver. Now my question is, how to pass / set this parameter from spring-boot application?

According to this page, you can set a parameter assumeMinServerVersion

to the jdbc url, something like

spring.datasource.url=jdbc:postgresql://localhost/test?assumeMinServerVersion=XYZ
