Split large json file into multiple smaller files
I have a large JSON file, about 5 million records, and a file size of about 32GB, which I need to load into our Snowflake datastore. I need to split this file into chunks of 200K records (about 1.25GB) per file. I would like to do this in either Node.JS or Python for deployment to AWS Lambda functions, unfortunately I haven't written any of them yet. I have C # and a lot of experience with SQL and learning about my node and python is on my to-do list, so why not dive right into that, right !?
My first question is, "Which language is the best for this feature? Python or Node.JS?"
I know I don't want to read this whole JSON file into memory (or even a smaller output file). I need to be able to "stream" enter and exit a new file based on the number of records (200KB), close the json objects correctly and continue working in the new file for another 200KB, etc. I know Node can do this, but if Python can do this as well, I feel it would be easier to quickly start using ETL for other things that I will be doing soon.
My second question is, "Based on your recommendation above, can you also recommend which modules I need / import to help me get started? First of all, it is about not fetching the entire json file into memory? Maybe , some tips, tricks or "How would you do it?" And if you're feeling really generous, please provide some sample code to help me figure it out?
I cannot include the sample JSON data as it contains personal information. But I can provide a JSON schema ...

When asked if Python or Node would be better for this task, there will be an opinion, and we are not allowed to give our opinion on Stack Overflow. You have to decide if you have more experience and what you want to work with - Python or Node.
If you go with Node, there are some modules that can help you with this task that do JSON streaming. For example. these modules:
- https://www.npmjs.com/package/stream-json
- https://www.npmjs.com/package/json-stream
If you go with Python, there are streaming JSON parsers here as well:

Use this code on linux command line
split -b 53750k <your-file>
cat xa* > <your-file>

consider using jq to preprocess your json files
it can split and stream your large JSON files
jq is like sed for JSON data - you can use it to slice
and filter and map and transform structured data with
the same ease that sed, awk, grep and friends let you play with text.
see the official documentation and these questions for more information.
extra: for your first questions, jq is written in C, it's faster than python / node, isn't it?
