Xcode 8.3 and choice for xib or storyboard
Creating a new project in Xcode 8.3 no longer offers a choice between the previous previous XIB and the current Storyboard option for the interface file. Is this no longer available or is it possible to reactivate this setting ?. I cannot find any information on this topic, nor have I read anything about Apple removing this option.

The option was removed on purpose - according to Apple. The route now uses storyboards.
Alas - I cannot provide a link to this information. I filed a bug with Apple noticing that this option is no longer visible. The error message was closed with the following remark
Please be aware that our engineering team has determined this issue is behaving as intended based on the information provided. He always uses storyboards. This is a deliberate change.
