How do I profile an application-to-application?

I have a response application and I want to measure its performance. For example, how much time is spent on the Internet and on each self-service feature and total time. I tried to use the default profiled chrome profiler, but it gives me a post-bundle output that is no longer human readable. Is there a good tool or ad hoc ways where I can profile my program?
