Angular -meteor Can I upgrade to Angular 4?

Now that Angular 4 has come out, is it possible to update the version of Angular so I can learn and use the new features? If so, how do you do it?

Update: I tried updating it via npm and started getting an error in the console and none of the new Angular 4 features worked after that. Has anyone got it to work? Maybe I'll just learn Blaze and then change it to Angular when angular -meteor is updated to work with the current version of angular.

I may have updated it incorrectly. I just updated Angular via npm and made sure everything else is up to date as well.
