Failed to get google token in postman
I am developing an application that will need Google OAuth2.0. At first, I tried to test the web service using postman. and below are the steps I followed.
- At https://console.developers.google.com/ I have created a project.
- In the Library section I have enabled the Google People API
- In the credentials, I created a file with https://www.getpostman.com/oauth2/callback as the redirect url
- I got my private secret and client ID.
With the above details, I am trying to test the same in postman.
In the post man, I did the following steps.
- Selected OAuth2.0 under Authorization and clicked get new access token . This opened a new window and I entered the details below.
- URL: https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/auth
- Access Token URL: https://accounts.google.com/o/oauth2/token
- Client ID: The one I got from google console.
- Client Secret: The one I got from google console.
- Scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts.readonly https://www.googleapis.com/auth/plus.login https: // www .googleapis.com / auth / user.addresses.read https://www.googleapis.com/auth/user.birthday.read https://www.googleapis.com/auth/user.emails.read https: // www.googleapis.com/auth/user.phonenumbers.read https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile
- Grant type: Authorization code. And when I click on the request token, I am redirected to accept permission, and to my surprise, the configuration details (In postman) window doesn't disappear and show me the token. Below is the post about screenshot. I click on the request token.
Please let me know where I am going wrong and how I can fix it.
