They say I need to set a goal:

I would hate to run it from eclipse. I would rather just call on the command line mvn
, as I am currently doing.

The target can be listed in your plugin-plugin section pom.xml
, depending on what you want to accomplish with the application.
eg. if you want to execute it, you can follow the steps outlined in the question How to execute a program using Maven? ...
I don't think you can do it with just using mvn
, but you need to specify what is happening (for example, mvn package
or mvn install
)
