View horizontal recycler inside a tab

Problem

I have a tab layout and inside a tab layout. I have a horizontal view of recyclers. Sometimes, when I try to scroll through the view of the recycler, the tab position is changed instead instead.

Question

Is it possible that all touch events that are in the viewport of the recycler are not reported in the tab layout so that all touch events in the viewport of the recycler can only change the view position of the recycler, and never the position of the tab?
