CakePHP and iOS 10.3.2

Starting with the new iOS update (10.3.2), we are unable to reach our site from an Apple device. Safari, Chrome, or Firefox return blank or error page indicating a network error.

We tried from different locations, different types of iphones, wifi or cellular (3G, 4G).

It worked well for me, so I updated it to 10.3.2 and I got the same error.

I tried to contact my web host, but they told me there was nothing they could do. I tried to install Cakephp in a subdirectory, but even with a fresh install and empty cakephp (2.9.8) it doesn't work.

I tried the same with Cakephp 3 installation and it works.

I tried to install CakeFp 2.9.8 on a different web host (personal from the same web host) and .. it works.

So, I'm a little confused as it appears to be the problem:

  • iOS 10.3.2
  • CakeFp 2.9.2 to 2.9.8
  • my web host

Can anyone give me any direction to search for? I'm starting to get very depressed here ...

I found a workaround by changing my web host configuration.

My web host (OVH, French host) allows me to use PHP-FPM (which is PHP's FastCGI implementation) to improve my site performance.

When I turned it off yesterday, my site was available for iOS 10.3.2 users! I do not know why, but for now I am relieved.

I just asked OVH if they have an idea why, but I'm not very optimistic about their answer ...
