While executing the script, I get the above issue.

Ask the team to help me identify the problem and resolve it.

  • Run below command in terminal to open WebDriverAgent project.

    Open usr/local/lib/node_modules/appium/node_modules/appium-xcuitest-driver/WebDriverAgent/WebDriverAgent.xcodeproj

  • This will now open the WebDriverAgent project in xcode.

  • Go to project build settings as shown below and add development team.

enter image description here

  1. If the dev team has no options, choose the following procedure to add an account.

and. Click on xcode and go to settings.
    b. Click on "Accounts".
from. Click the "+" and add an account in the same way as the account used for the code signing activity.

  2. Now you can select the added account in the development team.

  3. The account chosen for the development team must be the same as the account chosen for the code signing operation.
  4. Now add the development team for all purposes also using the navigation to create settings.
  5. Run the code to check for errors and generate a successful message.

if you can't execute appium script even after dev team building and app building in Xcode ..

Follow the instructions in the link below and try running appium after these steps, I tried it (note: there were some unthinkable libraries missing from the install :) and working for me. I have Mac OS 10.12.5 and Appium version 1.6.5. Hope this is helpful.
