Can the service be embedded in apollo-client middleware?

Can the service be embedded in apollo-client middleware? There is an Apollo module. https://www.npmjs.com/package/apollo-angular The documentation has guidelines for implementing authentication. Communication is done using localStorage. http://dev.apollodata.com/angular2/auth.html This is not the Angular2 way. I need confirmation. I have been for a while for a solution.
