New headless chrome in Geb

I am trying to get my project that uses Geb to run the Chrome beta channel in headless mode.

I can reproduce the problem using the Geb Gradle sample project .

In GebConfig.groovy I have this chrome definition block:

While this launches the headless version of Chrome, the connection breaks when I run the tests with ./gradlew chromeTest

Please note that several ChromeDrivers run on different ports. I would jeopardize that the main issue is that the ChromeDriver server cannot talk to headless Chrome.

Based on several Python examples I've read (which use Selenium), I'm pretty sure this configuration is correct.

The crux of the problem is that headless chrome starts up (I can go to http: // localhost: 9515 in my browser and see how it works with a blank page data;

), but chrome gear can't communicate with it.

Any pointers would be helpful.
