Is there an API for Amazon Vendor Central?

To make it easier to manage our products, I would like to use the API, if available. Is there a way to programmatically manage products? Currently, my impression is that there is only web access, which is rather cumbersome to use if there are hundreds of products. Our data comes from another system that I would like to integrate in some way.

I know that data can be imported via Excel files to create products. If the products could be updated in this way as well, it would be a (lower) alternative. But this is impossible. Or am I wrong?

Amazon MWS has a Feed API for product management. But isn't there a similar API in the Provider Center?

Amazon Vendor Central works with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and does not provide an API. However, there are a number of third party services that can make it easier to work with. Google 'amazon edi integration'.
