NSManagedObject of class 'NSManagedObject' must have a valid NSEntityDescription

I am working on Objective-C

with CoreData, I am getting below error ...

*** Application terminated due to unmapped "NSInvalidArgumentException" Reason: "NSManagedObject of class" NSManagedObject "must have a valid NSEntityDescription value.

I added CoreData

to my project. I created a method saveData

in viewControllerA

, and I named it in viewControllerB

.

In this scenario, I get the error if I call the saveData method in viewDidLoad

of viewControllerA

, it works correctly.

The problem is what you are doing [vedvc saveData]

before displaying the view controller vedvc

. This step is vedvc

not displayed, so it viewDidLoad

has not yet been completed. Therefore, self.ad

and self.VehicleNumberED

are equal to zero. Hence the error: the object description is nil.



The simplest solution would be to transfer the initialization of these two variables ( ad

and VehicleNumberED

) in the method saveData

. But you could better rethink your code structure.
