What is YYYYPPP format

I am working on export functionality and one of the requirements is to display the posting period in YYYYPPP format.

Can someone please explain what the YYYYPPP format is

This is temporary information, where YYYY is the financial year and PPP is the period of that financial year. For example, 2017001 represents the first period in fiscal 2017.



Often used in Analysis Analysis budget management tools such as SAP. The standard format for entering periods is YYYYPPP or YYYY followed by PPP.
