Bipartite graph projection error (igraph, RStudio)

I am using rstudio version 0.99.879 and packageversion 1.0. 1. My question is closely related to this issue on the same issue: igraph package in RStudio: bipolar graph error
However, my question is more related to data composition. Here is a link to an example csv.file I'm using: https://workupload.com/file/6qhyZqc and the following code:

Everything works except for the projection command. So the code is not a problem. Perhaps the error or problem could be in the data itself. Since I have been working with data for quite some time now, I think I have shone professionally. It would be great if someone else could have a look at the posted sample data and could provide suggestions on what the problem might be.
 Any help is appreciated!

My guess is that you have a link between two nodes of the same affiliation. A bit of searching, and in fact it is.

Note that you have the string "other" in both columns data_new

:

data_new[which(data_new[,1] %in% data_new[,2]),1]
[1] "other"

      

igraph

reads a string as one of a node on the network. V(g)$type[V(g)$name %in% data_new[, 1]] <- TRUE

gives meaning TRUE

to its type

.

We can see which connection connects two vertices, whose type == 'TRUE'

:

Just reevaluate the strings so that they are not equal and everything works smoothly.
