How can I insert a lightning bolt symbol for the Google AMP page format?

If you visit the HTML specification of Accelerated Mobile Pages , you will see that the tag <html>

has a lightning bolt in front of the closing brace

<html โšก>

Is there a keyboard shortcut I can use or customize to insert this?

While the docs said you can just use <html amp>

, I assume you asked this question because you would prefer to use this symbol. In this case, the easiest way would be to select and copy the symbol and then paste it into your code. Another option I know is to use Alt Code to put a character into your code. The alt code for the lightning bolt is Alt + 26A1 Hold alt and enter the code into the number pad on your keyboard and it should work.

It seems no / no easy way to gain codes on the Mac (if I have the option and type 26A1, I get this: โ„ขห†ฬ„ยก

.

MacOS seems to have a striking brightly colored shortcut (Ctrl + Cmd + Space) where you can find and select the lightning bolt. https://support.apple.com/en-gw/ht201586

Works for me in a text editor.
