Quill: What method triggered when the stain changed?

I need to do something when the text wrapped in my own blot has changed.

From the parchment documentation I got that the method update

is called when the blot changes. I am trying to use it in code , but this method is not called when the text wrapped by my blot changes.

Maybe I am using this method incorrectly? Or should I use a different method?
