How to speed up loading times for Ionic 2 apps when running on a device
I am currently making an app with ionic 2 angular2 and Typescript. I have a big problem when it comes to the startup speed of my application. When I create an app for dev or prod environment and install it on any device it takes a long time to load.
when i run the app, it displays a white screen that stays on for so long, which is very annoying as users won't wait long.
I removed the splashscreen cordova plugin and I changed the splash screen delay to 0 in config.xml but it still takes so long to load.
when running my application, only a couple of fetch requests are all. Here is my current Config.xml

From experience, I would say that load times have not improved significantly in Ionic apps, but from the online articles I have collected, it is possible to optimize your app for Ionic and run faster.
- Prefer Ionicons over images when needed
- Check and make sure your javascript files are moved to the bottom of the page.
- Don't use unnecessary libraries like JQuery.
- Use fewer pages or otherwise learn to reuse pages.
- Ionic 3 also introduces lazy loading to avoid loading all components on startup.

I agree with @Emeka Obianom after a lot of time spent on these startup issues at work with my team. We still have a long start.
It's a bit boring with the loading screen on index.html
You will improve a little if you minify your javascript.
You can use tools like https://www.guardsquare.com/en/proguard on android. You can also find a free apple solution online.
