Electronic application with plugin modules

I am looking to create an application that is cross platform with a plugin architecture. I can see that Electron is suitable for some requirement, however I cannot figure out how the plugin architecture can be implemented in electronic format.

Think of it as a tool that will evolve over time as the team adds new features over time. I see this as a plugin and delivered to the app to enable new functionality (UI + Logic) after deploying the app.

this may sound very simple ask, however I browse the net but see no explanation as to how to satisfy my requirement. Can someone please help me point out the correct resources on the net.
