Android startActivityForResult and not save activities in developer settings

Many users are reporting an issue in their Google Play feedback for the app, which seems to be due to the "Don't save actions" option in the developer settings. I am using startActivityForResult which seems to be useless in this case.

Does anyone have a solution? (Except "Use Shared Settings") And does anyone know where this problem comes from? I mean, it's very strange that a lot of users have activated this option - I don't think they are all developers. Is there a superfood CleanMaster App or sth. like the one that automatically enables this option?
