Enabling Server Notifications for Subscribers with Auto-Renewal

By this documentation

Server URL to receive update notifications (JSON object messages) for key subscription events. This only applies to apps that contain auto-renewing subscriptions. We recommend that you use these notifications in conjunction with check validation to check the current subscription status of users and provide them with the service.

enter image description here

We added the url, but when checking the server log, the link is not pinged,
Q1 - Is there any additional setup I need to do to test it in the sandbox?
Q2 - Does it only work for an actual purchase made by a user in production?
Q3. Do I have to use the app store update to get the subscription url to work?

Any suggestion would be helpful

1) Have you installed the required ATS protocols on your server? https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/General/Reference/InfoPlistKeyReference/Articles/CocoaKeys.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40009251-SW57

2) It looks like it works for both sandbox and production as per possible answers on their documentation: https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/NetworkingInternet/Conceptual/StoreKitGuide/Chapters/Subscriptions. html # // apple_ref / doc / uid / TP40008267-CH7-SW13

3) You don't need to push update on app store for it to work.

This is said to work for both production and sandbox, but for us (as of today) we only get production notifications. And in fact, not all of them. I'll serve up the radar.
