Impossible to build with an electronic packer inside an electronic forge

I created a default e-forge project. When I try to package my project using a command electron-forge

, the process exits with the following error.

What am I doing wrong? I followed the instructions for the tee in electron-forge .

$ electron-forge package

The issue is fixed in later versions of npm, please consider upgrading to the latest v (> 5.4.2

) instead of downgrading to 5.2

:

npm i -g npm

It looks like the latest version of npm introduced a bug for the electron creation process. The problem is tracked here. Github problem

Try this workaround for a possible fix (untested):

rm -rf node_modules
npm install --production --ignore-scripts
npm install --no-save electron-rebuild --ignore-scripts
node_modules/.bin/electron-rebuild
npm remove electron-rebuild --ignore-scripts

Or downgrade your npm to less than 5.3 (tested, works).

npm i -g npm@5.2
