VSTS pull off the git defensive branch

Apparently, the guys from VSTS decided to give the UI a new look. Negative side effect: I cannot unprotect a previously protected branch.

The option is highlighted in gray. This means that every commit must trump the pull request assertion, which I no longer want. It used to be easy to disable this.

Any idea how I can turn this off?

You should remove all automatic reviewers , even if they are not enabled and you are not applying a certain number of reviewers: - /



Once I removed all automatic reviewers, I was able to turn off branch protection.
