What's a transparent eclipse plugin to use to work with both clear 6 and 7 projects?

I confirm the latest version of the IBM ClearCase Eclipse plug-in provided here on the IBM website

• works with eclipse3.5 although for eclipse3.4
• support for CC6 and CC7

You just need to be careful:

• your \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SourceCodeControlProvider\
  
  value
• your link to the extension .

Note. the official IBM download page for this plugin seems unavailable at this time.

This means that you must use the p2 update mechanism to access:

• CC eclipse plugin refresh site for Windows

or

• CC eclipse plugin update site for Unix

Note:

Can you access these CC6 views using the classic ClearCase client?
Because it may well end up that you can't (and, in addition, it explains that the CCL eclipse plugin can't).

The view connects to the view server through its storage. If this view store is stored locally on the desktop, this makes the desktop a CC6.0 view server.
If your CC7.0 view stores are stored on your desktop, this makes your desktop the CC7.0 view server.

And the CC7.0 viewer server cannot access the CC6.0 viewer server.
