I am using Skype4Com COM object to intercept audio from microphone. I know this is 16-bit mono, but how do I know what its sampling rate is?
It would seem that Skype4Com has no way to determine the microphone sampling rate at the moment. My experiments show that this is 16 kHz.
I know it is possible to manually set the input via a wav file. The only speed allowed is 16,000 Hz. I think the speed that is used for transmission is also 16,000 Hz.
